Job Summary:

Under limited supervision, responsible for promoting, maintaining, and improving individual and community health by assisting individuals/communities in adopting healthy behaviors. Plans, organizes, implements, evaluates and administers major health education program(s) for the Texas Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (TxMOUD) Initiative


Job Duties:

  1. Works closely with the director and program manager to assist individuals, other professionals or the community with healthcare professional training's.
  2. Conduct training and technical assistance consultations, web-based substance use disorder sessions, coordinate healthcare professional training's, develop and prepare training resources.
  3. Travel to healthcare conferences to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with agencies and organizations interested in public health care.  May include some weekends and after hours.
  4. Attend healthcare professional training's in San Antonio and surrounding cities to support trainer(s) and manage registration.
  5. Manage training website and update with upcoming training details and advertisements.
  6. Design, prepare and distribute training materials, including flyers, brochures and website information.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field is required.

Experience:

  • Five (5) years related experience is required.
