Job Summary:

This role is within the Family & Community Medicine (FCM) Department.  Under general supervision, responsible for assisting with the management and coordination of the credentialing process for department faculty.

 

Job Duties:

  1. Audits all UMA Initial Appointments packets for corrections for privileges at UHS.   Processes applications and verifies licensing and certifications, retains records and assists faculty in completing their application packets.
  2. UHS Reappointments:  Prepares all Faculty/Midlevels UHS Reappointments packets at least 3 months prior to expiration date.  Reviews information on the TSCA application for all reappointments and updates current licensure, board certification, CPR certification as needed. Meets with faculty physicians and midlevel providers and has them stop by the office and sign forms, update all references, affiliations, addresses, phone numbers, review Delineation of Privileges and provide case logs from the past 2 years.
  3. UT Health Physicians : Work all FCM Faculty Reappointment packets for UT Health Physicians which must be completed 3 months prior to the last expiration date on file.  Serves as liaison between UHS Medical Staff office and UT Health Physicians.
  4. Adjunct Appointments:  Handles all Adjunct Appointments for Family and Community Medicine department. Enters all new information onto Adjunct database for Initial and Reappointment  Appointees.
  5. Other Duties:  Answers front office phones, faxes copies of prescriptions or orders to the appropriate doctor at their clinic.  Meet and greet visitors for the department, schedule the Library/Conference Room for meetings.  Kitchen duty and sort mail on a monthly basis.

Education:

High school diploma or GED is required.


Experience:

Five (5) years experience or relevant clerical duties is required.
