Job Summary:

At TxMOUD, we are an interdisciplinary team committed to reducing the burden of substance use in Texas by expanding access to compassionate, evidence-based treatment and recovery support services. In partnership with UTHSA, TxMOUD is opening a state-wide clinic to provide safe, quality, and best-in-class care for individuals living with substance use disorder ("SUD").  The clinic offers virtual behavioral health services, including clinical assessments and referral to care, SUD treatment and medication-assisted treatment, psychiatric treatment, counseling, peer recovery support, and case management of individuals living with SUD.  Providers work on-site at the clinic in San Antonio. The Caseworker is responsible for working within a multidisciplinary team providing clinical care to community adult and adolescent outpatients with serious mental illness, substance use disorder, and other co-morbid conditions.

 

Job Duties:

  1. Evaluates and assess patient's behavior, emotional responses, interpersonal relationships, and social conditions.
  2. It gives diagnostic impressions and treats adults, adolescents, and families.
  3. Develops individual treatment plans for patients and documents case records as needed.
  4. Maintains regular contact with each assigned patient to monitor responses to services and identify problem areas.
  5. Assists with developing and implementing evidence-based treatment models.
  6. Responsibilities may include crisis interventions as needed.
  7. Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

Education:

Master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology is required.

 

Experience:

  • Three(3) years of experience in a health care setting is required.
  • Ability to analyze, compare and evaluate aspects of the treatment program.
  • Primary activities and decision-making authority will be performed under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous, pleasant, and professional manner.
  • Ability to observe a patient's issues and analyze what is needed to help them without putting them at further risk.
  • Ability to talk with patients and their families and be able and willing to deliver both good and bad news in the most compassionate way possible.
  • Ability to write progress notes according to standards, assessments, memos, letters, various complex reports, and other documents with acceptable spelling and grammar.

 

Additional Licenses and Certifications:

LCDC, LPC, LMSW, or LMFTa licensure is preferred.
