The Department of Radiology in the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking candidates for 1 Clinical Fellow/Specialist in the section of Women's Imaging and Intervention.  This position will commence on July 1, 2021 and end on June 30, 2022.  In order to be considered for an appointment as a Clinical Fellow/Specialist candidates must be able to secure a Texas Full Medical License no later than January 31, 2021.

With nearly 30,000 breast exams and interventions a year, our dynamic program provides in-depth and valuable training in diagnosing benign and malignant breast disease, with multiple modalities, including mammography/tomography, sonography and MRI.  Fellows will demonstrate competence in recognizing associated conditions utilizing the entire repertoire of diagnostic imaging.  Fellows will become familiar with the malignant and benign conditions of the female pelvis and reproductive track utilizing sonography, CT, and MRI, and master multiple interventions guided by these modalities.  Familiarity with the various imaging techniques and interventions of pregnancy and reproduction will be achieved.
Elective rotations are available with the medical oncology, surgical oncology, pathology, and radiation oncology sections of the breast care team as well as in CT and MRI cross sectional imaging and ultrasound.  Additionally, our teaching hospitals and clinics are regional referral centers for South Texas.  We have state-of-the-art imaging equipment that includes digital 2-D mammography, high resolution sonography, 1.58 and 3.0 Tesla MRI and new Fuji tomography.
