Global Health and Ultrasound Fellowship
Department of Emergency Medicine 
 
The Department of Emergency Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is accepting applications for our Global Health and/or Ultrasound Fellowships.  Optimal candidates will have completed an emergency medicine residency and must be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine.
 
Overview
This fellowship will equip emergency physicians to become leaders in global health and/or ultrasound.  Fellows will gain experience in a broad range of clinical, research, teaching, and administrative skills. The fellowship is designed for emergency physicians preparing for a career in academic emergency medicine, international medical leadership, global health, or ultrasound. Fellows will also serve part-time as clinical faculty in the Emergency Department at University Hospital and participate in medical student and resident education pertaining to the specific fellowship program.
 
Structure
The fellowships begin July 1 and last 18 months. Dependent on fellowship program, fellows will divide their time between international field work, educational training, projects and research, and clinical work in the Emergency Department.
