With nearly 100,000 cross-sectional exams in abdominal imaging a year, this dynamic program will provide in-depth training and valuable experience in body imaging and intervention. Educational experience comes from studies performed at University Hospital (600 beds), Robert B. Green Outpatient Imaging Center, Mays Cancer Center, Medical Arts and Research Center, and UT Health Hill Country clinics. Additionally, our teaching hospital and clinics are regional referral centers for South Texas and include Level-1 trauma, oncology, surgery, general medicine, and organ transplants. We have state-of-the-art imaging equipment that includes 9 multi-detector CT units, 8 MR units, 16 colored Doppler ultrasound units, and 2 fluoroscopy rooms. This position also provides additional opportunity for participation in after-hour ER faculty coverage.
