UT Health San Antonio, Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology is seeking an anesthesiologist with additional qualifications or experience in liver transplant anesthesia for a faculty position.  The University Transplant Center is a high volume, nationally recognized program with a robust living donor liver transplantation program and a specialized ICU specifically for the optimization of donor patients.  The liver transplant anesthesia team is made up of a diverse group of dynamic faculty with backgrounds to include cardiac, critical care, and cancer anesthesiology.  The team member will be expected to participate in multi-disciplinary management of patients to include preoperative assessment and optimization and perioperative quality improvement.  Additionally, there is ample opportunity for resident education and research.  We strive to create a professional and collaborative environment with appropriate mentorship for junior faculty, residents, fellows.  
 

Rank and compensation are commensurate with experience and credentials. Texas medical license and ACLS certification required. If a recent graduate, must be classified as `in the ABA Examination System'. If four or more years post-training, must hold ABA Primary Certification.
