Job Summary:

The Clinical Information Systems Supervisor (Cadence)  will continually assess and improve systems and processes to increase efficiency while judiciously managing UT Health San Antonio's resources. This position will supervise the daily activities of assigned personnel supporting electronic health records for the institution. Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the clinical information system and quality assurance.   

Job Duties:

  1. Lead, motivate, develop, and support a team of analysts/support staff to meet both organizational needs
  2. Support the various Health IT and Epic Application team members in developing effective workflows, solving and mitigating complex issues, and maintaining valuable relationships.
  3. Collaborate with leadership to ensure timelines and deliverables are realistic and actionable.
  4. Manage projects, programs, and work activities of the team, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget
  5. Track and measure team, project, and individual performance goals and improvement projects
  6. Assist Project Managers in identifying system capabilities and designing and executing project plans related to population health and analytics.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care or related field required. Comparable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of related experience in the field require at least three (3) years of EpicCare Ambulatory build experience.
  • One (1) year of prior supervisory experience is required, preferably in a healthcare field. Ability to bring people together to execute needs, provide training, and personal development/ coaching to team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- fostering timely escalation identification and resolution.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; strong attention to detail, and ability to work under strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills and effectively communicate with different leadership levels and internal/external customers.

Certifications:

  • Proficiency in EpicCare Cadence, Referrals and Welcome, or other EpicCare modules strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to attain Epic certification(s) as required within a specified timeframe.
