Student Administrative Assistant
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, responsible for providing general administrative support to students, faculty and staff in an academic department or central office. This position is responsible for providing accurate admissions and student services assistance that includes the following areas: student recruitment, admissions, student records, and special events.
Job Duties:
- Greet visitors, prospective students, and guests to the Office of Admissions
- Answer the primary admissions phone line by providing general information and transferring calls to appropriate staff as needed
- Make appointments and take messages for Admissions team members
- Assist with on-campus special event planning and coordination for the Office of Admissions & Student Services including, but not limited to, information sessions, application workshops, open house programs, Admitted Student Receptions, group tours, Commencement, White Coat ceremonies, new student orientation, etc.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, transcripts, and other application materials
- Assemble recruitment materials and promotional items for visitors and prospects
- Assist with maintaining and processing admitted student records
- Maintain office supplies for the department
- Assist with daily operations and fiscal activities for the department
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Education:
High school diploma or GED is required.
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Three (3) years related experience is required.
