Job Summary:

Under limited supervision, responsible for providing advice and leadership to leaders and staff. The Strategic HR Partner will collaborate with various internal customers and stakeholders to help lead and drive change management, leadership development, workforce strategy, strategic staffing, organizational design, talent development, employee engagement, and employee relations. The Strategic HR Partner formulates effective partnerships across UT Health's Physician Practice to deliver value-added services to management and employees.


Job Duties:

1.  Attends regularly scheduled meetings with respective business units.

2.  Consults with management, providing HR guidance and policy interpretation when appropriate.

3.  Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HRIS to develop solutions, programs and policies/procedures.

4.  Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.  Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.

5.  Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

6.  Works closely with management and employees to improve working relationship, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

7.  Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning. 

8.  Manages a team of HR Generalists who are positioned across the University.  

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.


Experience:

Seven (7) years of professional (exempt) level HR experience.  Must have experience in employee relations and be knowledgeable of employment law.  Previous healthcare experience is required. 



 

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree. Experience working in a hospital setting.
