Job Summary
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Information Officer, this role will lead a team of in-house, agency, and contract team members focused on the strategic planning, development, and implementation of the University's web and digital engagement platforms in alignment with the enterprise-wide marketing strategy.  This role is responsible for the long-term vision of web and digital marketing channels and arbiter of quality for digital and web initiatives, which impact both the university brand and revenue-generating opportunities, connecting enterprise marketing and brand strategy to appropriate tools, content, and integration in the technology ecosystem. 

Job Responsibilities
1.  Responsible for delivering UT Health San Antonio's (UTHSA) strategic vision and priorities through web and other digital platforms including brand development, growth of services, faculty and staff recruitment, the student experience, alumni relations, fundraising, and special events. 
2.  Manages and advocates for enterprise-wide web vision and strategy and be accountable for consideration and execution of new platforms which create new customer interaction methods and lead generation, utilizing strong business insight, intuition, and communication skills to keep internal and external partners and division leadership informed of progress and impact. 
3.  Accountable for developing and executing comprehensive digital strategies - in alignment with the enterprise-wide marketing and technology strategies - across all relevant platforms, including managing digital marketing, multimedia content, digital engagement, overall web development and ensuring world-class digital experiences for users. 
4.  Oversees and manages the consumer-facing website environment leveraging deep knowledge of user experience design and best practices as well as emerging trends in web and digital design and functionality. 
5.  Advises departments and units on optimal mediums and solutions to achieve their strategic and business goals and collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization to promote digital as effectively integrated into various initiatives. Ensures the web platform meets the highest standards of branding, editorial and graphic quality, consistency and adheres to best practices involving site architecture, navigation, process flows, page-level interactions, functionalities, usability and accessibility. 

Master's degree in information technology, computer systems, marketing, business or closely related field.

At least seven (7) years of experience in emerging digital platforms, interactive marketing or digital platform management, UX design, and/or technical web development in a highly complex and matrixed organization such as an academic or healthcare entity is required.
