Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, assisting with the administration, organization and implementation of trial operations, responsible for coordinating clinical research studies, to include recruitment, collection, compilation, documentation and analysis of clinical research data. Assists in the determination of guidelines for the collection of clinical data and/or administration of clinical studies.

Job Duties:
  • Recruits, screens and consents study participants. Instructs and counsels patients in research procedures. Verifies continued eligibility, completes study procedures, schedules follow-up study visits, collects and processes data collection, completes research related forms, completes electronic data entry and maintains study subject data.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal and local regulations. Monitors close-out of studies and ensures records are retained for appropriate length of time.
  • Reviews goals ad requirements for any new protocols; plans and designs source documentation for protocol; and coordinates study initiation. Will work closely with the Research Director, Clinicians and PI's to submit institutional approval applications as applicable; will submit sponsor documentation.
  • Invoices sponsors, tracks and reconciles payments, refer payment delays/issues to the Research Director; routinely monitor recruitment goals, milestones attainment and timely entry in Velos (eResearch); assist with sponsor monitoring visits or other quality assessment activities.
  • Liaison with supporting clinical departments (research-based) to coordinate fee-for-service procedures such as radiograph reviews, MRI screenings, clinical lab assays, etc.); REDCap project setup reporting.
  • Additional duties assigned such as: assist with study team assembly, develop study documentation, facilitate study team training, facilitate or monitor regulatory components (IRB, Institutional Approvals, FDA, etc.)
Education:
Bachelors in Basic Science required, BSN considered along with experience in nursing.  

Experience:
Three (3) years of progressive experience in grant administration, research coordination, data collection, and/or facilitating the patient experience in research projects is required.
