Job Description

At TxMOUD, we are an interdisciplinary team committed to reducing the burden of substance use in Texas by expanding access to compassionate, evidence-based treatment and recovery support services. Our programs organize around three pillars: clinical service delivery to raise access to treatment for individuals with substance use disorder; workforce training and technical assistance to improve the quality of care; expand our skilled treatment workforce and clinical research into developing cutting-edge treatments and disseminating them into communities.

Manages and directs the center's operations/logistics and develops methods to measure department performance to ensure development/improvement programs are in a place where necessary.

 Job Summary:

Responsible for attaining department research, marketing, fiscal and staffing goals to conform to institutional goals.

Manages and directs the overall delivery of assigned projects from initiation through completion. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.

 

Job Duties:

  1. Oversees the department’s revenue cycle activities by proactively identifying, diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving issues or barriers to revenue maximization.
  2. Identifies research and development areas that should be investigated.
  3. Establishes and communicates operating procedures, practices and guidelines.
  4. Collaborates with physicians and management teams on revenue cycle, coding, and coding education to ensure accurate, complete and timely coding and billing activity.
  5. Establishes, monitors and controls project budgets.
  6. Plans, organizes, and manages work of research and support staff.
  7. Assists department leadership with operational functions to ensure revenue flow is aligned with the strategic goals of the department.
  8. Responsible for negotiation research contracts.
  9. Provides financial/business support in the areas of charge capture, denials management, billing and compliance within the department 
  10. Plans and manages business development and marketing activities for department.
  11. Develops solutions to complex problems.
  12. Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

 Education:

Bachelor's degree is required.

 

Experience:

Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience is required.

 

Preferred:

PMI Certified preferred.
