Job Summary:

The STRONG STAR Training Initiative is looking to recruit a dynamic program coordinator to join an established team committed to support a national training program which provides high quality training for mental health providers. This program coordinator assists our Program Manager in coordinating all aspects of the program including various academic activities, maintaining records, databases, providing curriculum information, managing the application process, and maintaining documentation for continued accreditation. At this time, all events are hosted virtually. In the future, this position may require some travel to support event management for trainings.

Job Duties

  1. Develops and coordinates all aspects of the assigned program(s) including application, training processes and technical assistance to team and mental health providers.
  2. Assists in the recruitment activities for the program including developing program newsletter, external communications, email marketing and social media.
  3. Ensures compliance with program regulations including continuing education accreditation and grant compliance.
  4. Coordinates schedules and meetings for faculty mentors and visiting students including the preparation of itineraries, agendas, meeting minutes and technical support.
  5. Monitors program budgets and coordinates activities related to faculty research programs and assisting in development of activities and materials for the program.
  6. Manages all accreditation documentation to include institution and program reviews, site visits and other special events.
  7. Assist with marketing efforts for the program. Reviews and updates of annual handouts/manuals including recruitment materials, match materials, brochures, website, interview stationary, and orientation material.
  8. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to generate standard and ad-hoc reports, and compose and prepare correspondence, forms, and fliers.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to serve as a resource to faculty, staff, and students.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment and capable of self-direction with long periods of indirect supervision.


Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is required. The combination of an Associate’s degree plus two (2) additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in Lieu of education.


Three (3) years related experience is required
