Post-Award Specialist
Job Summary:
The Post-Award Specialist is responsible for the administrative components of routine post-award administrative duties including regular monitoring of awards, reconciliations, re-budgeting, and supporting project close-out. Under direct supervision, this role assists with the monitoring of expenditures, ensures compliance with federal, institutional, and sponsor guidelines, oversees sub-award activities, and assists with other departmental post-award matters. This role provides high quality service, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.
Job Duties:
- Assist with clearing all overdraft, re-budgets when necessary, submits project close-outs, and performs general grant reconciliations.
- Monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with federal, institutional, and sponsor guidelines.
- Assists with financial management of sponsored program budgets and assist with day-to-day financial transactions.
- Supports the PI in preparing request for extensions, revisions, carryover, etc. to OSP.
- Reviews general ledger for allowability and assists OSP with the processing of Financial Status Reports and project closeouts.
- Facilitates the review and approval of subaward invoices to pay subawardees.
- Attends regular meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops to keep current on policies and procedures relevant to position responsibilities, as requested and approved by the Support Center Post-Award Specialist – Supervisor.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree is required.
