Job Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for pre/post-award activities of more complex grants and contracts. Assists departmental faculty in the development, preparation, and submission of grant and contract proposals.

 

Job Duties:

  1. Ensures applications meet agency and institution guidelines, published time tables and deadlines.
  2. Assists faculty with writing support letters, uploading documents, and proper formatting.
  3. Coordinates grants through the sponsoring processes.
  4. Prepares establishment of accounts in the financial accounting system, re-budgeting of funds, and reflects changes to the award or expenditures.
  5. Prepares institutional review board applications, progress reports and amendments.
  6. Provides policy and procedure interpretation to academic departments and prepares specialized reports to federal and sponsoring agencies.
  7. Maintains grant record retention schedules and related files.
  8. May serve as a resource in the resolution of complex problems and issues.

Education:

Bachelor's degree is required.

 

Experience:

Three (3) years related experience is required.

 

Preferred:

Master's degree is preferred.
