Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting the Epic Cadence application in various tasks ranging from troubleshooting, system enhancements/build, validation, testing, and training.  Guidance and general oversight may be required for more technical build and analysis.  Responsible for documenting and adhering to the internal processes for UT Health IT.   

 

Job Duties:

 

  1. Assist management and analyst staff in ensuring front-end and back-end revenue cycle operations using Epic is fully supported and trained.
  2. Ability to identify enhancements or system changes that will support end-users, better usage of the system, improving workflows or revenue outcomes
  3. Ability to perform training from the classroom to one-on-one settings; create and maintain accurate training materials.
  4. Actively collaborate with all Epic team(s) and Operations for ongoing software maintenance and optimization.
  5. Establish good working relationships and interactions with the user community.
  6. Reference online and written materials to determine application and workflow solutions.
  7. Establish, document, and adhere to change-control procedures for the system.
  8. Assist in populating, testing, monitoring, or general maintenance.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; in some cases, equivalent years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

 

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of related Epic Cadence experience is required. Cadence certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly in front end revenue cycle operations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and analytic skills a must.
